Our Scholarship Committee contacts with representatives from the local High Schools. They screen applications and hold auditions.  In past years nine (9) to twelve (12) students have applied.  Each then appears for an audition. Qualified students are awarded a Charlotte County Jazz Society scholarship.

Contact Scholarship Chairman, Buz Bisbano, (941) 623-0619 if you have any questions or would like additional information.  Application forms for 2020 Scholarships are available by clicking here, and will be available from the Career Counselor or Band Director in each of the three high schools and on this website by Fall of this year. We continue to seek musically qualified high school students ready to move on to college and either major or minor in music study. Certificates will be awarded at a concert to be held Monday, April 6th in 2020, at the William H. Wakeman, III Cultural Center Theater, 2280 Aaron St., Port Charlotte.
